ABOUT

The Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Psalms 118:23

Fellowship Church is an inter-denominational church that believes services don't have to be boring, predictable, or weird. We strive to accept people where they are in life and practice patience as God develops them into the people He wants them to be. We are a family-oriented church for all generations. The basis of our belief and teaching always has been and always will be the Bible, God's inspired word and final authority on all life issues.

Fellowship History

It all began in September 1989 - Dan and Anna Hooper arrived to pastor a little church of 19 people on Elm Street. During the first services, Pastor Hooper cast the vision to connect the unconnected to Jesus Christ. Despite an arson attack two months later, Pastor Hooper knew God still had a plan. . . and he never gave up.

It didn't take long before a manufacturing plant was purchased and remodeled. Tremendous growth was experienced and within 3 years it was time to start searching for new property. A 26 acre corn field in the middle of what is now known as the "Gateway to the City" was purchased. The plans were in place and the vision remained strong and clear - we were ready to start construction of our multi-purpose building and on our way to connecting even more people to Jesus Christ.

During Construction, we were able to keep our vision and mission by holding services at the historical Avalon Theatre in downtown Grand Junction, taking the message of Jesus Christ to the marketplace. In February 1999, 3,000 adults, students, and children celebrated the new campus of Fellowship Church, which also included a maintenance building, administrative office, ball field and outdoor pavilion.

In September 2001, a spectacular Children and Student Ministry wing was completed, providing a safe environment of highly interactive value-driven learning space to make an even more powerful and positive mark on the future lives of children and students.

In September 2002, our East Building was completed, housing our Administrative Offices, more children's classrooms, and our bookstore and full-service coffee house, Cool Beans.

The best is yet to come!

The continual growth of Fellowship Church has filled our children’s and youth classrooms to overflowing. Fellowship Church plans to break ground on a new 1800 seat auditorium Fall of 2007.  The current sanctuary will then be re-modeled for the High School and Middle School students of the valley.

Recently Fellowship Church introduced Sponsor a Seat. Sponsor a Seat is your opportunity to contribute and insure the youth of our community have plenty of room to gather, learn about Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him. You can Sponsor A Seat in honor of a loved one, in memory of a family member or friend, or as an expression of faith to reach a lost relative or friend. We believe...

... the old and the New Testaments are inspired by God, without error and authority on which we base our faith, conduct and doctrine.

...in one God who exists in three distinct persons:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

...Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins.

...Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

...eternal salvation is found only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ and what he did for us on the cross.

...water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and an outward testimony of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

...the regular taking of communion is an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

...every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God's Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

...as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.
