Host a LifeGroup

Hosts are not expected to be masters of theology or to have the answers to every question under the sun. Hosts just need to be able to ask questions and provide a space for healthy conversation to happen.

At its core, hosting a LifeGroup consists of providing a place where people can connect with God and one another. Most LifeGroup Hosts choose to have their groups meet in their own homes or in the community (local coffee shops), others utilize the Church facilities.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrews 10:24-25

Our vision for LifeGroups is to see every person from the core of our church connect in a healthy LifeGroup.

LifeGroup Host Responsibilities:

  • Pray for and coordinate weekly meetings to include fellowship, topic or activity, and a spiritual component (praying together, scripture, sharing testimonies).

  • Be an example to your small group.

  • Understand and represent the vision of Fellowship Church.

  • Be open to counsel from your Community Leader and provide regular highlights and concerns about your LifeGroup.

  • Follow-up with group members who miss weekend services or go through times of crisis.

  • Be mindful of the gifts and strengths of each group member and the role they could play within the group.
