Major Traffic Impact | Traffic holds on I-70 in Glenwood Canyon 10/4-10/6

Westbound I-70 traffic holds are between milepost 125 and 119 and eastbound I-70 holds are between milepost 123.5-124.5 on Tuesday, October 4th through Thursday, October 6th from 9:00 am-3:00 pm. Tuesday and Wednesday, traffic stops will last approximately 20 minutes. Thursday, traffic stops will last approximately 30 minutes.

• The Blue River Rec Path runs between Frisco and Breckenridge along the river.  Great for a leisurely ride or a fun workout.

Mountain Wave Rides:

• Cruise around town on the Blue River Rec Path and check out Breckenridge. 

• Ride to Frisco on the Blue River Rec Path and drop your Mountain Wave bikes at the racks by Abby’s coffee then get the free Townie shuttle back to Breck.

• Vail Pass Ride!

Shuttle leaves at 11:45 from the Mountain wave shop and drops you at the top of  Vail pass. Ride back to Frisco and drop your bike at Abby’s coffee or ride all the way to Breckenridge.

Hiking

• Spruce Creek Trail - Scenic Out and back 8 mi trail that you can cut in half with a drive.  Co Rd 800, Breckenridge, CO 80424

  Walk, bike, or take the Breck Free Ride to see Isak Heartstone (The Breckenridge Troll)  

  • Isak Heartstone is a 15-foot tall wooden troll sculpture located on the Trollstigen Trail in Breckenridge, Colorado. The newly constructed trailhead is located in the southeast corner of the Stephen C. West Ice Arena parking lot, next to Illinois Gulch Trailhead.
