We Believe

We believe… in one God who exists in three distinct persons. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Salvation - We believe eternal salvation is found only by placing our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

Bible - We believe the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God to human authors, they are without error, and the Holy Bible is the ultimate authority on which we base our faith, conduct, theology, and doctrine.

Baptism - We believe water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and an outward testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and not required for salvation.

Communion - We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

God the Father - We believe in God the Father, who is the beginning and the end, the author and finisher of our faith. God is good. God is love. God is sovereign. He is above all and all in all.

God the Son - We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son who died on the cross, shed His blood for our sins, rose from the dead, is seated in heaven, and is coming again.

God the Holy Spirit - We believe in the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of the Living God who dwells in the hearts of those who are saved, ministering to us on an individual basis as well as equipping us for the work of building the church and the kingdom of God.

Spiritual Gifts and Miracles - We believe Spiritual Gifts and miracles are for today but must be managed in order and protocol.

We believe… every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God's Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and be continually conformed to the image of Christ.

We believe… as children of God, we are overcomers and more than conquerors and God intends for each of us to experience the abundant life He has in store for us.

Sin - We believe that all mankind is born into sinful nature that separates them from God, but that He has provided a way for salvation. It is through His Son Jesus Christ, the full propitiation for our sin. All mankind needs salvation through Jesus Christ. Bad things happen in our decaying world. God is not the author of evil. Satan opposes God but is not God's opposite.

Justification by Faith vs Good Works -  We are justified with God through faith, not through good works. We are saved to do good works, we are not saved by good works. We are saved by grace alone.

Hell - The Bible describes Hell as a real place for those who do not believe in Jesus Christ. There is one way to God the Father. Hell was not created for man, but for the rebellious fallen angels, and God doesn't send people to hell, but if someone refuses Christ as Savior, Messiah, and as full deity and fully man, they are not saved. Not everyone goes to heaven. But it is the forgiven and those who are in relationship with Jesus Christ by grace through faith.
